Hey friends lurkers and pharmie army rotc corps. I'm kinda miserable, not terribly but i quit smoking. I did it awhile for a year with vapes but my rig broke and they stopped makin my flavor- Poseidon Punch, a citrus fruit blend. So i grabbed a pack then met a chick who smokes, and stopped looking to replace the vape. But i grabbed one with my tax refund so back on the horse i guess. Snowin 3rd day in a row in southern ct.

Hey Ice where did u pick the name cafe linville? For somebreason i associate that name with 2nd life, which i dont know much about but was curious enough to do a LITTLE reading

HiYa Boomer... Glad you stopped in.... We used to just have it as a "coffee shop", but Linville actually came up with and started the thread... Soooo... After a bit and everyone callin it "Cafe' Linville" ... Our dear Charon changed the title for us ... Been a staple ever since...

Good morning everyone. Well it is super cold in Chitown today. The high will be 22, but the wind chill is currently -10.
There isn't a whole lot to write about today. I tend to get boring in the winter and stay in/watch alot of tv. I am thinking that this week-end might be good for a Netflix binge. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

Hi Audrey,  good to hear from you today. I thought I would share my own key saga from this morning so you can see you are not the only person with problems around keys.  I was walking my dogs in the nearby woods (again, talk about the MUD!) and when I got back to the car, realised my car key had somehow fallen out of my pocket and was going to be very hard to find, given that I did a one-hour round trip walk today. Unbelievably luckily, I had not for once locked my house keys in my car, and so walked back home and got the spare key from inside the house, then went back to collect the car. I had told one woman who was entering the woods as I left, that I had dropped my key and she took my address "just in case".  I was so surprised to find her ringing my doorbell shortly after I returned home.  She didn't have my key herself but had spoken to another woman who had found it and taken it to a nearby garage.  So thanks to these two good neighbours, I was able to go and pick up my key and all is back to normal. Had I locked my house keys in the car it would have been a whole other story.....and had I not impulsively told the woman I had lost my key, I would probably never have recovered it.

I haven't been watching much but i got this app called Fullreader + which will read more or less any ebook format. Combined with pirate bay i have read 5 or 6 books a week (but that's normal i was grounded between ages 6 to 16 so I developed a major book habit). Anyone similarly inclined should take a look- its free with banner ads. I got the whole James Ellroy catalog- he wrote LA Confidential and a buttload of hardcore noir, also a very plausible fictional account of the JFK assassination called American Tabloid

Fire good for you doing the exercise, my friend it will pay off....for sure. 
Today I got a new Fitbit Badge, (symbolically) called Redwood Forest for wailking 25 flights of stairs in one day. Actually ended up with 32 flights of stairs, I was out and about more than I realized, ha. It emails me with the congrats, ha .
My goal is walking 4 miles talking 10,000 steps, everyday....anyway. I will up that when weather gets better. Hope my bad knee hold up and my worse knee. (grins)

Ice I was glad to hear about your blood work being good without even trying. 

Roses gosh middle of February we can just about hold our breath until winter is over now, especially now that the days are getting longer and all, but watch out for the next storm coming this Sunday.....

Gosh since I am still not able to log on except from home it reduces my posting, I wonder if it is the ATT network that wont allow getting on ioplist.org, Hmmmm
I am going to have to do what Fire suggested soon.

Whew! But I ain't coughin NEAR as bad and I know she's still just as bad!

My SO went to her Drs appt yesterday and to my surprise she asked for Chantix! I told her already that just because I needed to quit these thingz, I wasn't gonna ride her to follow suit... She said,"I want you to have the best possible senerio to quit, so I'm gonna do it with you." Wow... What a girl I've got! Hey I don't wanna brag or nuttin, but she puts up with all my crap and still is so good to/for me... I've truely been blessed...

Valentine's Day is fast approching... My better half is not a "material girl" and made dang sure to tell me NOT to be draggin home any "stuffed" crap.. Chocolate or even flowers! Geeze... Doesn't leave much wiggle room, so maybe I can drag her off the Red Lobster... She just loves seafood(we lived 30 miles from Cajun Country and rasied on seafood).... I think I can pull that off without stirrin her up...lol

Lot's of "new" faces round here as of late... Hey y'all may know some of them by the way they express themselves... If anybody spots trouble, please let me know... Since our "Commander and Chief" has had extra thingz to attend to, I need everyone of y'all's expertise... Hey look I can have phun with the jerks, but I don't want to stir up something with someone who is actually not a bad person, just havin a bad time... So please just be aware for all our sakes... We have a dang good place here and I know none of us want what "the other guys" have... We have respect, love, friendship and a boat load of honesty... And know we all want to keep this family feeling... We may argue amongst ourselves, but at the end of the day, we still care and love one another... That cannot be found just anywhere... Thanks y'all...

Alrighty then... There's my seemingly daily rant... So I'm shuttin my pie hole....

Good Friday Morning Everyone.

My back is strained this morning from being in an awkward position yesterday at work. Of course didn't realize it as it was happening but later , whoa am I the classic lower back strain.

Anyhoo, it is Friday and just get thru today then I can take care of it all week end. Usually time is best healer. Hey wait a minute did I say it is Friday. Smiles for that.

It is not supposed go above freezing until Monday, already has been below for several days,  when next storm is going on. But this week end for the east USA is going to have coldest air since last Feb.
So morning weather report, ha ha.

Ice your better half sounds like a dear one. ( getting the Chantix ) How have you been feeling?

Well I wont be able to see or make any posts until late this evening so I hope everyone can have a pain and stress free day.

Hey I see on the morning what else weather channel that Death Valley has gone in to a rare bloom of flowers from all the rain it has gotten, so if you get a chance check it out, desert flowers are cool, especially these.

Gotta go to the vet today (not for me) and get the old Corgee(sp) an allergy shot... She's a pretty good ole dog, but I'm more used to having Newfoundlands, Pyrenees and a few Shepards, so the "short" dawgs are a wee bit different.... My SO "inherited" her from her brother after his wife was killed a few years ago... She had gotten her from the dog pound after she was found wandering down a dirt road somewhere (the dog was doin the wandering)... Her brother worked late and we dog sit for Foxy and Buford while he was gone... When he'd get home, Buford was jumpin round while Foxy feined sleep... So she started stayin with us... Now we've had her 4yrs... She likes me just fine BUT she adores my SO... I guess she's a woman's dog... Evidently she like my SO better than her brother who had her for bout 6-7 years! What you gonna do...

Must be the coffee's a little strong this AM... Sorry ...
