I have only accessed the site on my tablet and have only been a member for a short time, but I have experienced terrible lag a few times.  It only occurs when I'm typing.  Threads open instantly, but I'll have a paragraph typed and have to wait for a few minutes for what I typed to start appearing.  My download speed on my tablet is 80mb/s and upload is 20mb/s.  It seems the longer my post the slower my letters appear.  Does anyone else experience this?  Or am I maybe on at peak times and the server is bogged down.  The first three sentences of this post appeared as should, but after that I have my sentences typed and I'm done typing and sit and watch as my letters slowly appear.

Hi Bighead, Im wondering what operating system and browser you are using, and guessing the Admin will want that info to help figure this out.
Im thinking some script or app is not loading properly, but you will likely get real answers from Admin.
Welcome and good to see you here friend.

Dear BigHead, There are many factors involved when you are using a website which creates problems for you. I for instance am using an iPad Pro and using TOR Browser for accessing this website. And this message I am typing is from an iPad as well. And I have not experienced any lags yet. If your tablet has high download or upload speed that does not mean it would process things fast. To process things totally depends on the Processor and RAM and more importantly the Browser should not be a resource hog. you can see that this message is fairly equal to your message and I have had no issues in typing yet, no lag experienced nor any other issues. If you don't mind you can share you tablet specifications with me and the browser you are using so that I may see where the problem is.

iPad 2 Ios 9.something (the latest version; if you need the exact version I can write it down but it's like 9.1234233). I'll get on my laptop and PC at some point and see if I have the same issue. When I made the above post it was really bad, but my last few posts have been normal. I ran a speedtest on my connection and it wasn't my connection.
Thanks forme!
I can't find where it says what the processor or RAM are. I've looked everywhere, but I believe it is a dual core. The Ipad2 was purchased when it was on the market for around 9 months I believe. 16GB of storage. Basically, it was the cheapest Ipad2 you could purchase at the time. The model number is MC979LL/A. Browser Safari.
However, since making this thread everything has been running smooth and quick. The first four or five longer posts I made it did it every time. Maybe just a coincidence when my connection was slow while on here and then running fine when I ran the speed test. I've never had any lag problems like that though, whether I'm streaming YouTube, Netflix, writing emails, or posting on forums. If you want or need more info let me know and if I experience it again I'll let you know.

iPad 2 is out dated technology I guess now as per those tech geeks. I still own an iPhone 4S and I know how much I am annoyed from iOS 9. iOS 9 lags big time on old devices. It's wise not up upgrade instantly when a new OS update is available till you read positive reviews about it. Please try giving a restore to your IPad so that it may start working fast and restore as a new iPad if you have no important data on it. Force close any unnecessary apps so that they don't eat up your cache. Only let open the apps which are most necessary. Try using Chrome Browser for a change and if the problem persists let me know.Â
P.S. Forgot to add, If you don't use Siri, Disable it, Also Disable the Parallax Effect on the home screen to make your tablet worth using.

If you have the Parallax Effect enabled or available in that iPad please disable it and try using either Chrome or Firefox and let me know how things work then.

Parallax was off by default. I will try Chrome and report back. One thing I figured out was if the typing slows down, I can hit post reply, then edit, and the speed goes back to normal. It occurred when responding to a thread in the off-topic area. A letter would take more than 30 seconds to appear, my response was a paragraph, I hit post, then went back to edit and it was typing like normal. Minor inconvenience, but maybe Chrome or Firefox will be more compatible. Irregardless, I can use my laptop or desktop, but prefer my iPad. So, if chrome or Firefox don't fix the issue that will account for the majority of my edits. This post went perfect on Safari. I'll download Chrome or Firefox and start using one of those.

I remember having a similar issue several years ago typing was slow and the cursor was acting weird.
Now that I think of it, uninstalling and reinstalling the browser was what finally solved the problem I was having. I believe I was using Firefox at that time.
Chrome is a great browser!
I hope you will post back, I am also interested to know if any of this fixes the problem.
Best to you...
