Hi Smalls - It's actually from the Matchbox Twenty song "Back 2 Good". I'm too old to have paid much attention to the band in their heyday, but I took my wife to a Rob Thomas solo concert right (the concert tour for his second solo album), and at the end of the show he brought his bandmates on stage and they played a couple of their older numbers. "Back 2 Good" was my favorite of those, so it went on my iTunes walking playlist immediately. These days it's more of a description of my life's mission after my heart attack...Just getting back to good. I'd like to be around to watch my grandchildren grow up. How kind of you, Charon. I don't know that I'm forthcoming so much as honest...Life has beaten that into me, when you reach my age there's really nothing worth lying about. I don't have Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram because I feel no need to update everyone I know on my daily life...But when asked a question, I'll answer it honestly (within the bounds of staying safe online, of course). I just hope a bit rubs off on me...  Ice Addition I just knew by you sig you were from the Lone Star State!! Wonderful.... Until like 8 yrs ago, I'd only been outta state for a stint in the USMC... Well one veteran to another Ice, Thanks for your service! I did my hitch in the Army, a single 4-year enlistment in the (very) early 80's at Fort Ord, CA, never even considered re-enlisting, I only did that hitch to begin with for the G.I. Bill funding for college. Army life didn't suit me very well - But four years of it was worth enduring in order to be able to go to school full-time. Didn't hurt with college football either...Even though I was four years older than the freshman scholarship boys and hadn't played full-tackle since high school, I was able to make the team as a walk-on (probably because of all the PT!), and there's nothing like playing football in Texas - I doubt I'd have stuck with school long enough to receive a degree without football season to look forward to each year. I'm counting the years until I can retire at full social security (15 years to go for me), but the wife and I have already bought land just outside of Tyler (ol' Earl the Pearl Campbell's hometown), and we have a lot of fun fooling around with blueprints for the house we want to build, and planning for the chicken house and the goat and mule pen. Always great to meet a fellow Texan - We visit my mother in-law there a couple of times a year, I'll raise a Shiner Bock and a Lone Star in your direction from Austin at the end of April!

Ahhh... That does bring a tear to my ole eyes... Tyler ya say... My G-Maw lives in Tyler county (not even close)... She actually made 100 in Dec....
I was runnin round in Houston/Beaumont area until I drug my old a$$ up here... Can't wait to be back home... Shiner Bock, Lone Star, and Texas Pride... What a time indeed... Great to make your aquaintence my friend... You are in the best of company here I must say... Take good care.. Ice

It's my privilege to make your acquaintance, Ice. I had an uncle (my Mama's sister's husband) who was born and raised in Beaumont back when it was just a spot on the map with a single red stop sign, he did 30 years in the Army (fought in three wars - WWII, Korea, and Vietnam), retired to Copperas Cove as a Command Sergeant Major, and lived like a prince, never wore anything but white T-shirts and overalls for the rest of his life. I grew up right down the road from Copperas Cove in Harker Heights, my mother in-law lives there in the same house my wife grew up in to this day. Visiting her makes it clear to me just how old I am...Harker Heights, which was the "poor" part of the Killeen Metroplex area (Killeen, Nolanville, and Harker Heights), we all went to Killeen elementary, middle, and high schools...Now Harker Heights has their own K-12 school system, completely separate from the Killeen Independent School District, and is bigger than Killeen was while I was growing up. I'll love Central Texas until the day I die, but I can't stand that kind of heat any longer, thus Tyler...Where at least there are trees, and hills, and a nice, cool breeze now and again. My avatar is actually the starting point of the Bluebonnet Highway, just look at all those bluebonnets to either side of the two-lane road. Heaven.

Wow... Man I stayed in Austin a couple of years... Absolutely wonderful time! Love it! Spent countless hours at LCRA (and ye ole Hippy Holler
) ... Don't have a fondness for those "fire ants" geeze.. They'll tote ya off round there! But the rolling hills make for a great place to break out the Harley and take a roadie.... Those memories will be forever burnt in the 'flyleaf" of my brain and underlined....Take great care my friend... Ice
