Ye ole Cafe
Good Morning IOP!

It's a cool cloudy Tuesday here with thundershowers predicted for this afternoon.

Then it really cools off this week with temps only in the high 60s.

I hope you all have a good day & that your pain & anxiety are under control.
This too shall pass. Heart

Good Morning IOP!
I think I have managed to save my poor little flowers, but being in the wind and dirt (POLLEN etc.) yesterday has taken a toll.
Woke up with a MAJOR headache  Sad   Had some coffee and some Aleve and intend to go back to bed for a little while.  Hopefully that does the trick.

Wishing everyone a Happy Tuesday!!

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day.......

Means after today, it is downhill to the week end.....symbolically , did I spell that this early, grins.

hump day
The middle of a work week (Wednesday); used in the context of climbing a proverbial hill to get through a tough week.
After hump day, the weekend gets closer.

Good Morning IOP!!!

Happy HUMP day to you Linville (impressive spelling this early - smiles)   And to everybody else!!

My headache finally gave it up about 3:00 yesterday so I just had a relaxing evening - hoping to prevent a relapse!

Today is a tad chilly and windy so I'm going to attempt some spring cleaning (uggg)!!!   Need to wash all bed clothes and going to use the wind to help dry them.  NO RAIN PLEASE!!!   Smile

Hope everyone has a great day!!  Happy Wednesday!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had a good night's sleep & that you have a good day today.

Positive vibes being sent to those under the weather.

The rain we have had the last few days has really jump started my dad's vegetable garden.

I will be doing the last of the planting today. More onions.

If all goes well, we will be having quite a harvest come fall.

Take care everyone!

Hello Everyone!  Happy Hump Day!   Smile

Today my hump is:  my grandson leaving for visit to my parents.
I will kinda be "camping out" on my own for some days.
Everything caught up around house and yard; easy meals for me to heat up.
Favorite comfort foods for those lonely nights...  (all the stuff I love but usually avoid!)
Cat has fresh boxes and some new toys.
No where I need to go until he returns to help me.

Now grandson says for me to just "behave"   Hahaha
(meaning "Don't Fall and hurt yourself", "Don't try doing things you know you can't do anymore", "Don't decide to start any home projects by yourself"   LOL )
he's gonna call every night to check on me, too at bedtime.

I'm not good at "behaving" esp when left on my own & bored, so I often end up getting some bright idea to take up my time - something that would've been great 10 yrs ago, but now not so great these days   heh

Does all this mean I'm officially back in my Second Childhood?

Trying to smile and joke this morning with him before he leaves.
Reality:  I won't see anyone else for long days now, except my cat,
extremely lonely &  terribly boring to be unable to do much of anything...
Often I feel too sick to do much else though.  Glad he will get out and have some fun.

I thought about writing a book - "Couch Potato Activities"    Tongue
(for those potatoes who would like to be anywhere but on couch - or cooking pot)
Any ideas ?   LOL

Have a great day, Everyone!

Hey there Dancing Wolf, I say you behave too. I think the ole saying applies to women too, here it is, I am sure you have heard it. Was it Clint or john saying it...

Good morning from little ole me over the pond! I'm not quite sure where my life has gone but even though the building works have almost finished at my house now (but not quite), I find myself with far less time than I used to have and my presence at the glorious institution which is Cafe Linville has flagged somewhat. Apart from all the building works, the other big change - which I didn't expect to affect me so much - is that I have taken up work again as a volunteer bereavement counsellor. There is basically so much paperwork - of course this is quite understandable, we are dealing directly with people's lives, and when they are at their most vulnerable, and there have to be proper checks on everything each of us does - but it has really eaten into the time I used to spend flitting around on the internet. It's fantastic work, very satisfying, if very hard, and I don't regret it for one second, especially when I see a client start to feel better in themselves, but it has really changed my life of late in a way I had not entirely allowed for.
So please forgive me, friends, if you see me less. I am often browsing around when I can and still following threads here and there, so I haven't deserted you!
A big warm hello to Ice and Fire (my twin superheroes), Roses, Harley, Charon, of course, Willie, Linville (now who could forget the founder of this fabulous cafe?), Zander, Tommy, IS, Audrey and all ye who sail in the Good Ship Cafe Linville. Have good days, free from pain and anxiety and insomnia.
