I know this is difficult to believe, but I am a very shy woman.

I became sick, quite suddenly and quite severely and I had my baby boy. So, I crawled to my computer and researched everything I could. Doctors gave up hope on me, but what do they know? (But for Doctors of Law. Of which I am one. LOL.)

I did cancer forums. Chronic pain forums. And I learned that so many of us are terrified to really share on a forum because forum members can be mean as snakes in the grass. People want to be able to speak without being flamed. We have rules here that protect the members and the vendors from foul language and abuse.

And, secondly, I learned that when one hears the words: Lupus or cancer, that immediate brain fog takes over. So, I can do research for the member. Many of us are alone. We are our own caregivers. Most of what I do in running a forum involves Private messages, emails, phone calls.

Not so much shows up on forums as to how close our forum family plans to remain.

You are quite welcome to be here. I shall make a mental note of your being shy. So we can bypass the first fifty posts in 100 days rule. k?

But, please, just feel comfortable. Be yourself. I like you already. When the right post jumps up to say: Follow me, you know this subject!! Then in that event, you may post. If you are up to it.

K? There are some of us whom read at forums yet cannot post. I shall protect u from flaming and bad people to the best of my ability.

So, will the senior members, our moderator, Ice Wizard, our admin of steel, and all our long time members.

Relax. Put your feet up.

When you are meant to post, you will know. In the meantime, don't even worry about it.

Very glad to have u with us.

I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH CHARON for that welcome.  I just got misty! I have been reading reading reading the posts here.  I've even used some of the information to find a vendor but I have been very shy to post because I see people make mistakes and risk the forum.  I do not want to do that myself.  I hope soon to have some useful feedback to share on the forum as well on my recent experience with an IOP.  Thank you for sharing some of your story on my "intro" where I shared very little about me.

I was feeling pretty lost before I found this forum.  Thank you everyone so much :Smile xo
