I read where you mentioned in one of the political threads that you had rec'd bad news.

I so hope it has nothing to do with the 3 bedroom trailer you had your eye on.

Thinking of you during this difficult and stressful time.

Your friend,

Fire

Well hello Fire,

The bad news had to do with
1. Have a lot of gold and diamonds that were my moms that I'm having to sell. My diamond guy priced everything for me of what I should get for each piece. A very good friend of mine in N.O. took it to 5 jewelry guys there and they offered very little for all of it. Talked to my guy again today and he said in NO way sell it at those prices. He will have his diamond guy look at it and give me a much better price, so I still have hope there. God knows I need the money bad.

2. The mobile home park I'm moving to told me they only allow 1 sm. dog. YIKES! I have 4. But the park manager told me that as long as they don't cause any problems and bark a lot and no one complains, she won't say anything. So, I will have to keep them on a tight leash so there are no complaints. They stay inside with me all the time anyway, only going out to do their business. I'll just have to keep them quiet and pretty much outta sight or it could cause me to be thrown out of the park.
I think it will be alright. They're not bad dogs and I NEVER let them run loose or go out without me. Fingers crossed they don't get me in trouble.

So, my bad news might have a light at the end of the tunnel afterall. I HOPE!

Jewelry always seems to have the lowest resale value.  I am glad that you have someone you trust to guide you in the right direction.

Seems like ok news considering on the dog front.  Like you said your dogs mostly stay inside with you.  Plus the fact that the park manager said ok, albeit conditionally, is a good thing.

Your move date coming up soon?  Everything go ok with your home inspection?

Thinking of you,

Fire

Yep, inspection and appraisal all went fine. I was approved by the mobile home park to rent my lot, so everything is moving along good so far. I'm just dreading having to leave the place I love so much and go to a strange place where I don't know anyone. But, I have no other choice. The days of being here are getting short and I still have much to do. I've gotta get busy, busy, busy. The new owner wants to go to act of sale 4 days sooner than what was planned, so I've gotta bust a move.

I hope and pray it all goes smoothly.

Now I'm off to get busy.

Have a great weekend Fire.

Luvs ya all Heart

Thank you Willie.
Boy, had some neighbors come over to help me yesterday and we got A LOT done. I'm worn out today, but at least we took care of a huge chunk of what needed to get done.
Tomorrow the fellow buying my house is coming over to help me get everything out of my attic since I can't be climbing up there. He is such a nice guy and been a big help to me. It's almost like he wants to take care of me and make this whole process go as easy as he can. He's been a saint.
Still have plenty more to do, but with the help I'm finally getting, it won't be too long before I'm finished with this "fun" packing up stage.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Smile

Sounds like you have some good neighbors and I agree the man buying your house is very kind. That's great - you deserve a break!

Not sure last reply got to you.  I am back now I hope on regular basis
I had things to get off my platter too

Hey Snook,

Sorry I haven't kept in touch. Been soooo busy with preparing for this move. I hate this.

Hopefully when things settle down I will be able to be around more.

Take care and I'll talk to you soon.

LOL, it's amazing how much more can get done with help. Guess I'm just a slow poke. That and not really wanting to go.
Just wish my friends could have shown up sooner cause I'd probably be finished with this by now, but I won't complain. At least they showed up for the really hard things that needed moving.

God I wish this was over and done.

Wow Cricket,
I haven't been around much. You sure got a lot done. Good for you. It is starting to sound like things are finally starting to fall into place, despite all the obstacles. I am happy to see you getting some help and having some place to go (though I know you don't want to go). Maybe there will be more good things to come on your adventure and journey. Be well, Rumor

UGH! Got a rude awakening yesterday. My buyer came over to get things out of my attic for me and we couldn't believe how much was up there. I was just starting to see daylight, but now my garage is so full of attic boxes that I can hardly get thru the garage. I feel like I'm back to square 1. It's gonna take me awhile to go thru all of this stuff.

One good (I guess) thing about the things in the attic is Katrina never touched anything up there and I'm discovering so many things I thought were taken by that storm. I didn't know it was up there. Now I have more stuff to go thru.

Anyone got a 9mm bullet they could spare? I'm about at wits end. Rolleyes
