I'm sorry not to be around very much lately. I just haven't felt much like talking or doin' anything. Guess I've been a bit depressed because of the way things have been goin' in my life. I miss my old home so much and I'm not exactly thrilled with where I am now. Things have been so much harder on my old beat up body here than I thought it would be.
It feels like I've landed on some strange planet where I know no one and don't hear from my old friends much now. It's so different and I can't say much about the view. Kinda sucks after having the water and all of the boats and openness of my old home to look at. But, I just have to make myself get use to it here. Don't have to like it tho. Sad

Just glad I have my family here to help me stay somewhat sane LOL

Hope you all have a pleasant evening.

My time here is almost up, also, cricket. Am doing craigslist again, looking.

I know u had an awesome water view cuz u saw a kid riding some equipment which kept him airborne. sounded awesome.

I hate change myself.

But, we do what we gotta do.

I am sorry u r so sad. I suspect I shall be miserable in moving.

So, lets hang in there. I am here for ya. You can show up anytime u would like, ms. cricket.

Here In FL we got lots of rain and strong winds, tornado warnings thru last nte but no damage in our area. But glad that our neighbors in LA didn't get anymore rain.

Charon,

Sorry to hear you will have to move soon.  I know from my move last year how very miserable that is when a person suffers from painful chronic conditions.   Try not to overdo it, as I did.  Believe I used all my energy reserves.  Still feel tired a year later.  (not joking)
Prayers for you to find wonderful place to discover in  your next "adventure".

Cricket,

I'm going thru what you are with my move as far as dissatisfied with location but there because of family obligations.  It had to be within reasonable radius of my grandson's university,  so it's farther from my parents and hometown than I wanted.
I barely missed sev places I really liked and TBH I only bought current place because it was estate sale, very reasonable (my price range).
Planned to focus on landscaping the yard but weather has been horrible this year (seems to rain more than not) and haven't accomplished much more than making inside comfortable.   *sigh*  Next year?

Hi FIRE!   I was just wondering how you were doing this week.
Hadn't seen your posts (but I've been sick and not on board much myself)
Anyway,  "HELLO!"
Smile

TO EVERYONE - HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

I've been crossing my fingers for you guys in FL. I hope it takes it easy on you and there is minimal damage. FL was my home for awhile many yrs. ago. We evacuated there for Katrina and ended up staying for over a month. My parents had a house on the beach in Panama City although they sold it long before Katrina. We were very fortunate to have friends a couple of doors down that used their beach house for their vacations. The family got together and gave up their vacation time so that we would have a place to stay until we could get back to La. They saved us from a large hotel bill.
I luv PCB and know it well. I luv ALL of FL and hate to see it get hit by these storms.

Take care and stay safe.

Cricket, any chance of relocating your RV house to a lot with a nice view?  Moving is expensive though and I know you are watching your $.

Tbaron, I just saw a clip on FL this am.  Major flooding in NW of the state.

Good morning Fire,

I hope your daughter is feeling ok and not suffering from her injury. I'm pullin' for you guys.

I'd love to be able to move my trailer to an area I had hoped to go to, but it would cost a fortune to move it. It has so many additions like handicap ramps and big porches and it would be a major job to move it all. Besides, at least I don't have to worry so much about hurricanes and being on the water. Sure miss that water tho. I'm just gonna be stuck where I am and will have to make the best of it. I guess in time I will not be so homesick. Maybe LOL

Have a good day Ms. Fire

Thanks Cricket - we're going to be OK. I had some good friends that relocated to PC during Katrina. I've been through hurricanes myself. It's tough but wonderful to have good friends that will take us in.

Amen to that. That was very nice of them to give up their vacations to give us a place to stay. They live in GA and lord knows, southerners are always generous. Well, most of us. Every summer they would also work us into their vacation schedule so that we could spend a week or so back at the beach. They have a large family that take turns goin' there, so it was a pretty big deal for all of them to do that for us. Since my mom passed away, I haven't been back tho. It's no fun going alone.

Glad you are gonna be ok from the storm. Praying we don't see any others coming into the Gulf. It's just way too stressful, especially after goin' thru Katrina. NEVER AGAIN!
