Anyone else having periodic issues sending emails via Yahoo lately? Over the last couple weeks I have sporadic problems sending emails. Just notifies me: "Cannot send the message using the server Yahoo". Anyone got any ideas?
Nevermind, I think I may have been trying to send to an incomplete email address. LOL

I constantly have problems with yahoo email. I set up 2 gmail accounts to have as back up. And I think once the Internet part of yahoo gets sold it will only get worse.
I have 4 different yahoo email accounts. One in particular is always down, messages slow, can't send them, a disaster. That is one of the reasons why I set up the gmail accounts.

My yahoo accounts are Very Often a big pain, just had them so long keep them open for people who wouldn't know new ones - or I might just close them.
I have Too Many email accounts - gmal, hushmail, safe-mail, but now the one I've found and really like past months Protonmail
Haven't tried tutanota or countermail, but they are supposed to be pretty good also. Not sure about another one salusafe? Don't trust gmail much at all.
LOT of options out there. Why put up with crummy service? Or Invasion of Privacy? Most these other providers have free accounts.
I 'donated' almost nothing for a lifetime at proton and plenty space for me.
Good part is when one isn't working (Yahoo a lot lately) I can still go elsewhere if I need to email.
Easy way to segment life, too. Business versus pleasure.

Yahoo sucks. I dont use it anymore for mail. Many times in the past I had some problems. I aslo dont like hotmail. Well it works most of the time but I do like proton mail and I have also acounts there. I feel more safe there thatn with Gmail yahoo or hotmail. And I have othese accounts for work segment my other activities to more secure options.

Yahoo is super loaded with SPAM
I think they actually generate the spam
No filtering from known spam senders
Plus the recent leaks about how they mine ( read ) all your mail
Ditch it
Ditch it
Verizon is stupid if they go thru with the purchase of yahoo IMO

Yes, lately, Yahoo have being a disaster. I use gmail, much faster and easier to use. Too bad is from the " big brother" google .
I have my hotmail account also, since 20 years ago ! but lately is all confusing how everything is organized on the inbox.
May be you can redirect your yahoo email to gmail and open it with gmail ?

I used to LOVE Yahoo when the internet "began." Gads, that makes me feel so old. "When we first began using the wheel, I can remember...".
Anyway, I opened some gmail accounts and had all of my important emails sent to certain gmail accounts I set up just in case I couldn't get on Yahoo. Now I worry about gmail being unsafe. But then, are any of them truly safe? I don't know enough about it.
I've never heard of Protonmail but I will be checking it out immediately. And yes, Yahoo has been giving me problems lately. Just here and there. Things it never used to do. We have Verizon. BLEAH. My yahoo emails are linked to Verizon. Most of them I just made into "Folders" and still use the different ones, but it's not going to be fun having to log in separately to each one when I (or they) unlink them.
I am right now going to go check out Protonmail! THANK YOU!
Abigail
Hi Abigail
I also think protonmail is better than gmail or yahoo for private communication... just an opinion, but serious one.
Use another one for regular stuff
