Slep apenea
#1
I was doing some research on sleep apena. I have had 2 accidents that may be attributed to me falling akleep/ I know I have hypothyroidism and I found an aticle I though everyone might find this useful. I found this on a CPAP forum. I am going to try this and i will give everyone a report.

You need to download Sleepyhead software, get an SD card reader and post your reports of how you're doing at night - lots of info there. Without that it's hard to say what's going on... What are your pressure settings btw? Don't be put off by your MD, he's probably as ignorant about all this as way too many doctors.... they may know something about the science of apnea, but are clueless when it comes to equipment, results, software, etc! And please stop the Xanax, it'll mess up a whole lot that you don't want to mess up - like being able to read accurate results on the software, let alone be a slippery slope to addiction and who knows what it might do if you do have some central apnea going on. Do you have a copy of the full report from your sleep study, with results?

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and to all the soldiers that have made the ultimatum sacrifice for our nation

Thanks Eddie

good subject. when u have a spouse, in another room, and every one and one half seconds its sounds like a freight train coming thru ur room, there is a good chance he has sleep apnea.

It was fairly ignored till last decade or so.

Glad u have a good idea Eddie. Sometimes, at least in US, one sleeps a couple nights to measure sleep apneA and its friends, in a lab. Tab bit strange, but it will help in long run.

I have read of the NYC metro north train crashes. Often its attributed to sleep apnea.

Good luck eddie. Make sure u have a good doctor.

My late husband did not take meds. I could tell he had sleep apnea from the sound of his snoring. It must affect other parts of the body as well. Don't ask now. Just do ur best and use a good doctor. Make sure u r taken seriously.
