Roses,

I offer you my smypathy. Watching a parent go through this is so hard. I was deployed overseas when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. She passed 3 weeks after being diagnosed. Even though there is so much heartache involved you also have a lot to be thankful for. Appreciate the time you have left with your father as I am sure you do. My thoughts are with you, and as you can see, you are not alone in this. Much love to you and your loved ones.

Good Saturday morning

I wanted to let you all know that my dad passed away Thursday afternoon. My sister & I were at his side when he died.

I am beyond devastated & don't know how to go on without him.

I don't believe that he suffered at the end. They kept him well medicated so that he wasn't in pain.

The hospice nurses were a Godsend. They wanted my dad to go to the hospice house towards the end but we kept him home as he wished.

I am lost without him since I spent so much time with him.

This forces me to make major changes in my life.

I want to thank you all so much for your prayers & words of encouragment.

You all helped me get through this & I won't ever forget how kind you all are.
This too shall pass. Heart

Roses big hugs of love for you.

I am just now waking up and bleary eyed. I guess I forgot to log off last night.

So I will write you more when I wake up and have coffee.

But you have my fullest empathy my dear friend . I am glad he did not suffer.

Your friend always

My poor Roses I am devastated for you. May the Lord grant all of your family the comfort of the Holy Spirit. The peace of the Lord. May u feel the love of your father will go on forever.

I am so sorry. What a blessed relationship u had. How wonderful to walk over there for holidays.

I think of my father every day. He passed in 84. But, I quote him. Miss him.

You did a wonderful thing by keeping him at home. Both my parents requested to die at home, as Irish do, ten years apart.

I know how much pain u must be in. I wish I could take it on me. But, I know you pleased both your earthly father and your heavenly Father by the love and compassion you exhibited.

My poor Roses. I am so very very sorry. With every fiber of my being, I believe you will see him again in Heaven.

We are all here for you my friend.

Well Rose I did not get back to you yet and I have woke up.
I think Charon had words I would have said to you.
You were very blessed to live so close and be close emotionally getting along as that does not always happen ...but you had both.
So you had things in this life many a person wish for.
I know it doesn't seem like much for me to say right now but I think it will become that way someday.

I can remember many a holiday u talked of getting together with ur Dad.
He loved u so much it was clear to see. And you him.

Oh yes I am so very happy that he got to stay home to pass on to the other side.
I think I would like that to when my time comes.

Again Roses all of us are here for you .
We hurt with you.
As we loved with you

Ur friend always

I don't want to intrude. But one line you said, about I don't know how to go on without him.

Oh, but, you do. Your father taught you so much. You shared so much. You keep him right in your heart and do the things that would make him happy for you.

I know you have some drastic changes. Now is the time to get thru this.

But your father was a wonderful man. He raised you to know how to carry on.

We all love you. And, we thank you for the privilege of meeting your glorious father. I always read about you walking thru the fields on holidays.

When you are ready, you have so many wonderous hours spent with your father. You will know what to do or whom to ask cuz you are your fathers daughter.

But, precious, care for yourself. Grieve as you feel right.

Many of us are here with open arms to hug you. to show u our love.

You were the best daughter on earth a father could have had. And, your dad deserved all your love and time cuz
i felt love everytime you spoke of your holidays with your dad.

You will carry on. You are your father's daughter. You are also amazing.

(I have rarely seen or heard someone relate as calmly as you did, all that occurred. You are amazing, just as your dad was.)

Roses, I am so sorry to hear that. I can tell you were close to your Dad. I was a Daddy's girl also (and only child) I was his caretaker but GOD was so good to us, he was only sick for 3 weeks and he was 87. My Mother had already passed at 85 (heart) and I will tell you those almost 3 years I had with him, were precious to me..and to him. My mother bless her heart was always jealous of my Daddy and as she got older and with some the start of some dementia she wanted him all to herself. Daddy died from a hospital mistake - o I was so angry, hurt and big time grief as when I lost him I think I grieved for both of them.

So, hang in there and journal if you can, those precious hours you have with him, it will mean alot years later. I will keep you in my prayers.
