Hello Friends,
I have something to share & I hope you don't mind me unloading to you.
On May 11th we found out that my wonderful loving dad has stage 4 Cancer that is spreading. He has it in his lungs, pancreus sp?, liver, spleen & colon. We are waiting for him to have a liver biopsy to determine where the cancer had started. I guess if it started in the pancreus then my dad has very little time & there is no treatment. If it started in say, the lungs, then they might be able to offer some kind of treatment.
He wants quality of life. Not to go through surgeries or chemotherapy. My dad is 85 & he's always been a big strong man. He is wasting away before our eyes.
We are beyond devastated & it feels like we are living a nightmare.
It's just me & my sister who are caring for him right now with nurses coming 2-3x a week. As time goes on we will need more & more help. We are looking into Hospice.
I am just so damned sad to see my dad going down hill.
I am barely holding it together but trying not to let my dad see me falter.

Hi Roses, I am sorry beyond words..
This exact same situation happened to me in 2014 and my mother with stage 4 lung cancer. Truly I could type word for word what you have above to explain my exact same situation I went through. Just be there for him. It is so terrible to loose quality of life and dignity. I [ray for you and your family and believe me I totally understand and this is the hardest thing to do is see someone deteriorate so horribly from such a terrible disease

Roses, I am so very sorry to hear about your dad. I just had a good friend go thru the exact same with her dad and it's horrible. He went so much more quickly than they expected. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Oh My Lord, I am so sorry. Many of us will be having prayers go up for your beloved father and for ur family for strength, peace and wisdom of doctors.
Many of us are here if u would like to talk. Father God, In Jesus Name I beseach you to heal her father. No tests no chemo. But, hold him and his family in the palm of your hand. Let the Holy Spirit reign in that home.

So sorry about your Dad, Roses. I went through a similar situation with my Dad and it is so hard to watch them become frail and sick.
I will be praying for your Dad and your family.

Roses, my friend, I am so sorry that you are going thru this.
I just cannot stand all the bad things happening and now this too.
I am glad you posted this so that the good members can give you some love to help you in a way.

Thank you all for your lovely thoughts & words.
And even though I am not religious , your prayers for my dad mean a lot.
He is having trouble eating & drinking enough. We are buying him all kinds of the food & snacks to tempt him. my dad loves to eat so this is a challenge to find things that appeal to him.
My son & future daughter in law have been bringing their son to see his great grandpa. And my dad loves that.
I spend all day watching tv with him but I notice he cannot concentrate so well on his shows.
My sister & I are scared the cancer will spread to his brain. There is just so much that is unknown at this point.
I am almost afraid every morning to see how he is. it seems like there is something new happening everyday.
He spends the nights alone right now. Soon I will stay overnight if needed.
Once again I cannot thank you all enough for your thoughts & prayers. I am sorry if I don't make sense, this whole thing has freaked me out completely.
