I take my Ativan under my tongue.It works very quickly that way.

Most us fda lorazepam is manufactured to be used sublingualy.

Taking v's the SL way doesn't do anything better for me, just a load of nasty taste under my tongue, I take them how they should be taken, with a large glass of water and then cup of sweet tea which for me helps speed things up if i need it speeded up but that's rare, best to spread through out the day other wise i just end up falling asleep which I don't like doing.

It depends on the generic manufacturer. Some just seem to melt under the tongue and in that case, I find it works better subliminally.

Hey Izzy, Empty stomach for greatest bioavailability of any benzo. This assures less competition with other substances to pass through the blood brain barrier and into the brain. If empty stomach not available, then sublingual admin is he second best way to assure higher bioavailability. You miss the first pass through the liver. It acts quicker and with more impact. Also, faster out, though.
