“The way we do anything is the way we do everything”.

This one is simple yet extremely poignant to me. I try to remember this even when performing the most mundane daily tasks.

Colossians 3:15

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since
as members of one body you were called to peace.
And be thankful.

Today's Prayer...

Lord our God, we thank you for sending into our
lives so much that turns our thoughts to things above
and enables us always to look to you. Through
Jesus Christ send us what is of heaven. Send what is of
heaven into every single life and into the lives of the nations,
so that something good may arise and the glory does not
go to the Devil but to your Spirit, your heavenly Spirit alone.
In their stubbornness people intend to do evil, but you can
turn it all to the good. You can change everything. This is
our faith. We hope in you, and we want to put our lives in
your hands. Bless us with heavenly riches and power..

In Jesus' Holy Name we pray

Amen.

John 14:27

127 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not
let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Today's Prayer...

Lord our God, rule over us in strength, and grant us
your light. Let your Spirit be with us to confirm what has
already taken place in our hearts, so that we have joy and
trust even under all the strain and stress of this life. Shine
into the darkness of the world. Shine for all people. May
we be shown more and more clearly what we have been created
for. Strengthen our faith for the future, our faith in everything
good, for however hidden the good may be, it must at last
come to the light. May we and all the world bring praise
and honor to you.

In Jesus' Holy Name we pray

Amen.

1 Peter 5:6-8

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s
mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil
prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone
to devour.

Today's Prayer...

Dear Father in heaven, Mighty God in heaven and on earth,
quicken us by the Word you have sent and by all you have done
for us in your mercy and steadfast love. Keep us eager and joyful
even in difficult and troubled days. Grant us unfailing trust in you,
to give us firm ground under our feet so that we can always thank
and glorify you. For you, O Lord, are our God. You are our Father,
and you will never forsake your children in all eternity.

In Jesus' Holy Name we pray

Amen.
Amen and Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace
at all times and in every way.
The Lord be with all of you.

Today's Prayer...

Lord our God, we thank you for giving us Jesus Christ,
whose words remain living to this very day. You will make
his words continually alive so that in the name of
Jesus Christ joyful praises are sung to you, Almighty God
and Father in heaven. Remember us all. Remember the
particular needs of each one of us. Come to the world
through the words of Jesus Christ. May his words come
as your strong angels to the hearts of many to comfort
and restore, to help and do miracles for those in need.
May your name be praised through the great and mighty
Word, Jesus Christ!

In Jesus' Holy Name we pray

Amen.
And Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Today's Prayer...

A Prayer for Veterans: for Our Men and Women in Uniform:

Dear God,

We thank you for the ultimate freedom from you have given
to us, better than any earthly freedoms we have. Christ paid
the wages of our sin through his death, so that we may be free
from death and have hope of everlasting life with you. For that
freedom from our sin, we thank you.

We thank you also for the brave who have fought, and continue to
fight, so courageously for our freedoms in our nation. We ask for
your covering and blessing over them and their families. We pray
that you would be gracious and encircle them with your peace.
We pray for your great favor and goodness to be evident in their lives.

Please be with the men and women in uniform, who serve our
communities and nation every single day. We ask that you provide
your protection, that you would be their guiding force, the one who

leads the way, and also their rear guard who keeps them safe from
behind. We ask that you would draw them to yourself amidst the
dangers they face in a dark world, for you are the Truth, you are
the Way, you are the Light.

In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name

Amen.
In Jesus precious name, Amen and Amen.

1 John 4:1

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they
are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Today's Prayer...

Lord our God, we hold to you and to your promise. Though much
is hidden from us, your voice comes clearly to us proclaiming,
"Watch and pray. You are to await the day of Jesus Christ your Lord,
and you can rejoice now in the midst of strife, distress, fear, and need."
We thank you for your powerful Word. However long the time of waiting
may be, your Word remains eternally and will be fulfilled. Your name
shall be honored in the proclamation of your Word, your kingdom shall
come, and your will shall be done on earth as in heaven.

In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name

Amen.

Daniel 2:44

In the time of those kings, the God of heaven
will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed,
nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all
those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it
will itself endure forever.

Today's Prayer...

Lord our God, we thank you that you work in us and
in our lives and that you show us your compassion, no matter
what cross we have to bear. We want to rejoice in you and wait
patiently until your purpose is fulfilled and your kingdom arises
on earth. Protect each one of us. May our hearts find strength
and neverfailing joy in Jesus Christ the Savior, always hoping and
believing, always looking to you. For you are the almighty God,
who will come in Jesus Christ to establish his kingdom among the
peoples and at last reveal his truth in its fullness. Then the knowledge
of your will shall spread to all peoples, so that good and evil may
come before you and be judged according to your mercy
and faithful love.

In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name

Amen.
