I know that others have posted this but it is truly my 'go to' in times of worry, stress and anxiousness.

Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God
10  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.
If this is not appropriate, please delete. Not from the bible, but helps me tremendously...

A prayer of St. Francis of Assisi:

"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
Hi Laxfinity,
                 Good input- was thinking along the same line.
Maybe this thread would be better if the 'bible' was taken out of the title of the thread.
That way people could post their inspirational verses/thoughts from wherever the source is.

Any other thoughts on this??

Ice/Adminofsteel?-- can you change the thread to Your fav inspirational verse/thought?.....................Folken
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28–30)

Jesus removes our burden of guilt!
Yes Sir ... It is taken care of ...

Just for today

                I will try to live the day positively, without wishing to solve all the problems of my life at once.

The LONG version....

God, grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change...
Courage to change the things I can,
And Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will.
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.
Just for today

This means the world to me. When I was caregiving me father at home, in 84, no hope recovery with pancreatic cancer, I was the Prodigal Son and returned to the Lord so me father would live. The Catholic Church sent a man to pray whom thereafter trained me to pray for five years. And me father and I would say a prayer that the mother of Jesus, Mary, would escort him to Jesus.

It did not happen that way. I am not posting exactly how i knew or what i saw or heard. But I knew Jesus was there. Me father had 3 hours. And I was to fulfill my promises then. That he would not suffer. That I would care for me mother until her death. And for my good sister. And, it all happened that way.

So, Catholics use prayer cards. This was for my Father.

Safely Home

I am home in heaven, dear ones;
Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.

Did you wonder how I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh, but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remains,
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

EDIT: This has been dedicated to Raffi, a wonderful elderly man. When elders are alone and poor they often put a trailer up on a business site. And, in exchange, they keep an eye on the autobody site's cars.

Two days ago, Raffi, whom is 86, felt on the steps. His face smashed against sidewalk. His eyeglasses pushed into his eyes. We prayed for two days. Raffi emailed my houseshare to ask for prayer when it first happened.

In a few minutes, Raffi will be disconnected from life support. And I know he will rejoice to see his deceased wife. Family. I am so sorry Raffi. You are a good man.
Thanks Charon!

Must have been hard to share something as this.

I got chills reading it and tearing up.

Going to keep this one...…………………….thanks again.
