It only takes one, remember.....and a few years back I went thru selling and remember spending every weekend there and more painting and all .
In the end I called an individual back and said i would accept an offer they made but I had turned down which made them very skeptical as i would have been.
But i told them the truth that time was money in my case and it was 4 or 5 thousand less, I think and I also deducted a siding repair that I had an estimate on....
Anyway good luck, Cricket
Hi Linville,
I wish I could afford to make the repairs needed because I'm sure it would draw more interest. Just don't have the money or the physical ability to do it. It really only involves some painting and a few minor sheetrock repairs where my puppy has chewed on the corners in my bathroom. Along with my asking price, I have added a $5000 incentive that the buyer could use any way they wish to. But, not even any offers yet and I'm getting nervous that after next month when the money runs out and I can't make the mortgage payment it will go to foreclosure and I'll lose everything. I'm praying that someone will show some interest or I would win the lotto to get enough to get outta this mess I didn't create. This is soooo stressful.
Praying something comes thru before it goes into foreclosure. I'm counting on this money to live on. If I get nothing and lose the equity in the house, I just may end up living in my car. At least that's paid for, but I DO NOT want to end up like that. So stressed I can't even chirp anymore.

Gosh Cricket, I feel what you say.
Are banks same as utilities or is it hospitals that if you attempt to make payments then they can not take it away. foreclose it I mean. If you cannot afford the full amount.
Maybe you know the answer but if not , well I am just brain storming out loud with you.
Cricket,
Going along with what Linville is saying. Is there still HARP funding around that would allow you to refi to something affordable? Or in the alternative, can you go to your mortgage lender and refinance in general to an affordable monthly payment, even if it brings it back to 30 years, 20 years or whatever would help you?
I don't like them, but is a reverse mortgage at all possible?
A college kid roommate that can pay and is handy to help fix up the house, is still on the table.
Still sending good thoughts your way, Rumor.
Oh good grief Cricket, I am sorry to hear this.
I just wish I could say something helpful. But you will be in my thoughts.

Thanks Linville.
It seems like every time I turn around, something is goin' wrong. This HORRIBLE luck I've had over the last few yrs. has to end sometime. I HOPE.
Calling my attorney 1st thing in the AM to see how I can fix this mess.
I hope all of you had a great long weekend.

Thanks Fire and Willie.
Talked to my attorney's office this AM and they can get everything changed into my name so that these 2 banks will discuss the mortgages with me. I have tried and tried, faxed them both the documents they ask for but still they won't talk to me. My attorney said she will get this fixed for me. Then I hope to get the banks to do a loan modification or something so they will lower the payments or hold off on it until I sell the house.
I'm still praying for a miracle that my attorney can come up with a way for me to keep my home. Or win the lotto
Going to attorney on June 10 and hope I can find this miracle.
Cricket's down but not out YET. It's shocking how fast your life can be destroyed by problems beyond your control and all of your money can just evaporate with a snap of your fingers.
Have a great day everyone.

Cricket,
Good to "hear you" . Lawyers definitely see things in different ways. If they can figure out a way for the bank to make money and not hurt you in the process and make this situation a win-win situation. We are all pulling for you!! Rumor.
