Sounds like a nice day Harley.  You 2 Rose.  Rose are you going to limit the time you work outside or take breaks or both.  Unfortunately I know alot about limiting what I do )-;  Do still enjoy though.

Oh sometimes it helps to take some preemptive advil.

KidA, unexpected surgery does not sound fun.  Welcome back. I hope that it was a success.  We are here if you ever want to chat more.

I am looking forward to a relaxing day.  All bday celebrations (not mine) are over for another year.

Okay I gotta do this -

Hiya Zander, Linville, IS, Revolution, Charon, Pops, Iceman, Willie, B2G and to any regulars I may have missed.

Who did I miss? Did I miss anyone?

Thank you so much! This is such a great, supportive board. Recovery is going a bit slower than I would like, but it's getting better every day. Staying positive!

Also, finally received my magazine from TTM today so things are looking up.

Hope everyone else is having a great week Smile
Hope you all are having a great
Good morning all!

Bugger me I'm in pain!
I ran 9K on Tues night and 10K last night and my legs are killing me! (Consecutive days are a no-no)
Again it really makes my sympathyse with those of you who live with pain day in, day out.
It also makes me realise how lucky I am with the UK's view on c0d31ne.
I have just went past 2 pharmacys on the way to work, first one I bought 32 co-codomol (500/8) and second one I bought 32 neurophen (ibuprofen) plus (200/12.8) - both OTC.

Anyway, sorry, this is not cafe-med-Linville, so... back on topic.
There is a Starbucks in our hotel and WOW, I had a lovely vanilla latte!

Hope you all have a great day, most of you must still be asleep.
Good Morning IOP....

Nope I_S .. I usually am up about this time (sometimes I just sleep in for some unknown reason) ... Man I hate it you're having some much crap to deal with... If you're like me, you get one thing "under control" and two more break loose!! 9 and 10k run huh? Man I have a fit going to the mail box (30 feet) and back.. My old lungs are eat up from all the abuse I've put them through... Hey it's my own fault... So I'll either live with it or not...

Anyway... It's 4:20 ... Brb...

See ... More of that "lung abuse" ... Wink Now the coffee's ready as well... Ahhhh man... Love that taste!! And since I've been off those lung rockets awhile now, I can actually smell (not a good thing sometimes) and taste thingz much better!!

Today I'm headin in a bit early, so I'm wrappin up ...

Remember to love one another today and smile... Gotta spread the love!

Ice
Good Morning, IOP!!  May everyone have a glorious day, today!

Good morning all. Another day here at the building site that used to be my home. I seem to spend my days counting out inches on the ceiling for placement of new lighting - never thought something so seemingly simple could end up so complicated!
IS, your travails with that hotel have made me feel secretly quite smug that I didn't go down the same route as you and move my family out during the works. Oh rats! I didn't manage to keep that secret at all, did I? Silly me Smile
You're right about the OTC codeine here though I don't much like to take the meds it is mixed with too often - think they do far more damage to your liver. It's fine for just occasional use though.
A big hello to Willie, Charon, Fire, Ice (I do love putting those two names next to each other - makes me think my friends are superheroes - which of course you all are!) Revolution, Harley, Zander, Audrey, Roses, Linville (never to be forgotten), Popster and B2G. Apologies to anyone I have failed to mention today. My head is a bit furred up by building works.
Good morning IOP!

It is a good morning here, raining and with Thunderstorms, which makes me less restless about sitting at a desk all day - Don't want to go outdoors in that.

Had my fist set of epidurals for this year on Monday, and my back is pain-free, and should remain so for three months or so.  Man, I was really getting tired of scarfing down all of that Ibuprofen (Doc won't even prescribe Tramadol, which is the only pain med I'm not allergic to).

25 new baby chicks arrived at the post office yesterday, they are healthy and active "top hats" who will look something like this when they grow up:

Two aggravating meetings on the calendar today, but if my boss can occupy himself with micromanaging someone other than myself in between them, just a lot of reports to put together...Those I don't mind.

Hope all of you are feeling healthy and hale today, and for those who are not, my sympathies - I've barely been able to leave my recliner since the epidurals, last night was the first night since Monday night that I've actually slept in a bed - The only comfortable position I can sleep in for a few days after that ordeal is a reclining one.

Tomorrow's Friday!  On top of that I have a 30-year college reunion coming up on the 23rd and 24th at UT Austin, haven't seen a bunch of my classmates / teammates since 2006, so I'm looking forward to that one.  Good week to look forward to.

Best,

- b2g
Thanks for the kind words people but I forgot to mention, the hotel and I are now FRIENDS!!!
I did what I said I would yesterday (air con off, portable heater on, window open) and I got a solid 7 hours. No coughing up crap or blowing my nose all night.
So, ok the air con is dodgy but I found the perfect way around it Smile

As for my sore legs, that's my own fault, I should have had 1 or 2 rest days between my runs, but I didn't so today walking is sore.

You guys (and girls- 'guys' means both sexes to me) are too nice Smile

Oh, how I envy you that you can still run, Insomnia_Sucks - I ran 5 miles every morning, rain or shine, before the discs in my back degenerated from old injuries, and then had a heart attack (a fairly major one that left me with pulmonary hypertension), so I'm limited to short walks outside when the weather is good, and 30 minutes walking on ye olde treadmill on days like today.  I remember that soreness well - Actually miss it sometimes!
