I loved FM and was lucky to attend one of their concerts long ago. Was sorry to see them go away.

Ok, now I have to vent for a bit. Today was a mess. Finally got out to do my grocery shopping and had to buy a lot. I loaded my groceries in my car, turned the key and nothing. My damn battery died on me and I couldn't find anyone in the store with jumper cables. I was in so much pain from the walking around and NOT in the mood for this.
I finally called my mechanic and he was there in less than 10 minutes to jump my car. He told me to go home and unload my stuff and not turn the car off. I did that and then ran back to his shop and had to spend over $200 on a new battery. Sure hated to spend that much, but what else could I do. There goes the money I had tagged for an order I was fixin' to make UGH!

So all is well now except I'm sufferin' BIG time from all of that.
I don't know who is burning black candles on me or why, but when I find out, dis bug's gonna climb up in their ear and chirp non stop. I sure could use some good luck for a change. Anyone got some they'd loan me??

Sorry guys. I'm just not a happy camper right now.
Also, as if that's not enough, we are under a tornado watch AGAIN down here with lots of rain to come for a couple of days. All the flooding was just starting to go down, but here we go again.

Come on guys, turn off the waterworks. They must be tryin' to wash Louisiana off the map.

Awe I'm sorry Cricket. Sounds like you have had a nightmare of a day I really hope things turn around soon for you. My luck hasn't been much better lately. I hate buying batteries I've had my original battery in my beemer from the day I bought it and when I replaced it it was $180. After I got a $40 discount for the battery trade in recycle. For a battery that's ridiculous. Tornados are scary, I have never been in one. Well I don't have any luck for you but I will make sure to say an extra prayer for you tonight.

Thanks Jc. I need all the help I can get. It hasn't just been 1 bad day tho. These last couple of yrs. have been one thing after another. But hey, I'm still upright so I guess that's a good thing.

I couldn't believe the price of batteries now. I had to get a good one because my car has so many gadgets that need a strong battery. Power everything must draw a lot from the battery. Oh well, I feel better knowing I should be good to go for awhile, I HOPE.

So, lets both hope our luck changes for the better.

You know even if its not big things those little things going wrong can feel like MT. Everest when they are piled one after another. You are still breathing, so that means things can turn around for you. I am sure they will soon. I look back at my life about 8 years ago and think seriously how did I get through that or wow that wasn't even a big deal and laugh about it. Hopefully you will get to that point soon.
Power everything will drain a battery more often or use the battery more often. It should last if not you better have gotten a warranty! I think battery warranties are good for 1 year or dorm thing my last one had a 4 year warranty. So check that out if you can but you should be fine!
Things will get better for both of us! I have faith in that. Keep smiling my friend!

@Cricket. @ things I love FM too many great songs. # 2 Sorry to hear about your battery problem. $200 for a battery seems excessive. It is sad that someone takes advantage of us when we need desperate help. What happened to the good will of humanity? At least you look at it optimistically in the end. :-)

Thanks Mack. I don't feel taken advantage of on this battery. My mechanic is a very honest guy and many times doesn't charge me for extra things he does. The battery was for a Caddy with all the bells and whistles, so I know that it needed a heavy duty bat to keep all of the gadgets running.
When ever I have a problem, he drops everything and comes to save me. Been with him so long he feels like family and I totally trust him to do right by me.

Anyway, I'm just happy to have the wheels turnin' again and peace of mind that it will start when I turn that key.

She was just a darned hot young chic with a good voice. Rock and roll gotta hold of her and I bet nobody cold stand to be around her now. Still my old love as well though!

Carly Simon was another one. I loved her voice, unfortunately everything she ever did was played to death on am radio, she did a duet with a male singer that used to just about bring tears to my eyes.
I always believed her to be a good person deep down. To bad she wasn’t allowed the opportunity’s some of the others were. Of coarse that may been of her own choosing! She also had a terrible chilhood, and a rather sad autobiography
