I have been thinking about letting go versus calling folks out on bad behavior -- may seems like opposites in a way.
But to me, letting go does not mean just ignoring bad or hurtful behavior. To me, it means simply not obsessing over it. I find it easier to let go, if I have 'said my piece'.
I did speak out way more often in my youth. Now I self isolate more and really don't get exposed to much. Don't even watch the news as most of it is so horrible. Drains my energy. Makes me sad. Call it news avoidance. Drives my DD insane as being a teen she is a powerhouse of opinions and outspokenness.
Just some random thoughts ...

Linville - you crack me up sometimes (in a good way, of course) and other times I just love the beauty you bring here.
Fireplaces - we are so close to the same place regarding attitude towards negative people/situations.
It was almost like reading my thoughts when I read your post.
I am also having many problems
Worst - I REALLY DO LOOK LIKE THE POST OF BEDRAGGLED LITTLE PUP RIGHT NOW
(awwww - any sympathy votes? LOL j/k)
Want to express my appreciation for this forum and its members. So nice to have a refuge from the storm.
A couple of great posts.
I missed your post
Fire well and yours
DW.....until after I posted my sand post.
Totally unrelated posts as you know this is random thread.....but yes
Fire I can relate abut what you said on letting go doesn't mean just ignore someone being or acting poorly.....
...and just let it go and not say anything about it or to them...I think after a balanced non angry response can be said then try for the letting it go ....of course sometimes something cannot be said.
Responding to blatant rudeness has got me in trouble before but after several times I just had to call them out on it....even if I was not even involved.
Does responding to rudeness mean, that you are then mean, some seem to think so!!!!!!!!
yes I am sensitive to that, sorry
I have also not said something then later wished I had to confront rudeness or meanness etc....
Anyway,
Fire thanks for your thoughts .....
And
DW thank you for your caring post. I liked it ....normal BS we go thru is always magnified during holidays....
Charon was mentioning it is the busiest time for a forum as folks need something to just make it being around those that are irregular people , a term I learned long ago about my own family....or so I think....
Thank you
Dancing Wolf, for letting me know that I can bring both ends of the spectrum to US HERE.
We are in this together and WE SHOULD help each other.....my gosh we need to at least have this wonderful refudge ....
thank you Charon and AOS for creating it.
And others that I cant name.
Oh PS.
JW your comment about snorting coffee laughing thru the nose made me flash back to grade school and seeing something like that only with milk .....LOL
My wish is that some things can settle down for some of us.
My Bestest to YOU lovely people....
I hope I DONT REGRET NOT PROOFING THIS CAREFULLY....
But I hope to have some leeway, is that a word appropriate in this context ? ( i might be afraid of the grammar nazi's)
Ha
I wish all these recent posts were in the private thread of random thoughts because it is more forum private , sighs.
