Linville, I need to remind myself of that as well.  Specially after a night where I had one (or two?) too many glasses of wine.

Ha , Fire....I hope you had fun and maybe some grins and giggles whilst having a refreshing beverage....  Wink

ICM, yes , nice of you to give Charon   Heart  her just due, of a good refuge to be.  A friendly place to be, yep.

We all need that so much in this day and time.....whelp, I guess people have said that for decades, but true anyway.
Hope everyone's weekend is proceeding magnificently!

My Saturday has been a complete and utter waste so far - I suppose sleep deprivation caught up with me (had not one, but two middle of the night awakenings last night, and those, on top of the rest of the sleep I've missed over the past two weeks were apparently the last  straw..when I got back to sleep at 5AM, I didn't wake up again until noon).  Of course my wife had already left the house to take one of or cars to the dealership for a minor repair, so I took my time showering and getting dressed, only to discover that once fully awake I was miserably stuffed up - The pollen count here is enormous, all it took was taking out the trash to set off my allergies, so I washed down an Allegra with my coffee.

In the meantime my wife came home, followed five minutes later by our oldest daughter, and while their initial plan was simply to go to Waffle House for lunch, I know those two...That will turn into an all-day antiquing and shopping day, punctuated by stops at Starbucks, the open air Mexican market, and the bakery.  I begged off being dragged along for that ordeal, and find myself un-stuffed by the Allegra, but with nothing to do and nowhere to go.

Ah well.  Only twelve minutes remaining before it is officially Miller Time, I guess I'll see if there's anything worth watching on Netflix, have a beer, then probably fall asleep in my recliner until they get home.

Best to all,

Harley, you are killing me, here.  Do you WANT me to salivate all Sunday? That is just plain mean.

Charon, I believe the post above me belongs in the Cafe only. I am pushing the  report button.

Please, be less careless in the future, Harley.

Sheesh
Just an example of a Pioneer member pushing their weight around over us little people. Where are my newbie supporters in this outrage? Hiding from the Charon and Admin no doubt. Please don't ban me, Charon.

Well....if you are going to share with me...I guess I could drop it...

Thanks, Harley. ♡♡♡

Oh what a night! I'm about to have a taste of heaven before sleep.

OMG-- Harley,
Would that be Talenti Gelato? That is my most favors of all time. Given my diet, I will just sit here and salivate for a while and have major fantasies of gelato. R.
Oh. My. God.  Between these ice cream posts and my wife contentedly eating directly out of a pint of Pecan Cream Marzcapone from Publix not 6 feet from where I'm sitting, I am having the worst ice cream cravings I've had in three years - Unfortunately that particular delicacy on heaven's "Nectar and Ambrosia" menu is strictly verboten on my Doctor's "here's a list of things not to eat ever again if you want to avoid another heart attack" list.

But I am enjoying all of it vicariously, I assure you, and hope to have dreams of happily delving into a half-gallon tub of BlueBell Butter Pecan if I'm able to sleep tonight.

Sincerely, I am happy to see you all enjoying this Sunday evening - That makes up for my dietary restrictions tenfold.

Best to all,

Today a learned friend referred to the ruling class of America as something very distasteful . As many of my mates are hard working Americans .working class people .none in senate or congress .or rule makers in any way . A couple professionals , semi professional, skilled , and untrained people working 3 jobs to pay for tuition of there children .
I was quiet taken back .when my friend said what she did .I'm waiting to see my friend to point out that the universal language would be German .
Only for the bravery of America and its also at the moment in a great transition . And how can you call a race of people racist when there president is mixed race ,African ,Irish,American ..my American buddys are very wholesome people ,family orientated not just capitalists .and there religious or at least spiritual . So in short you have a loving father ,husband, community member who works hard , pays his taxes , and is been brandished like a villan because he has to vote . But he does not decide Americas fate . They put all the like minded peoples mandate into power .so am I been unreasonable
I feel I should stick up for my buddies cause there all the same every where around the world .
What's more aggravating than not finding a letter you're expecting in the mailbox?

Why, finding nothing in your mailbox.  Not a flyer, not a magazine, not a catalog, not a piece of junk mail, zilch, zip, nada.  And then to find that none of your neighbors received a single piece of mail either - Nor was their outgoing mail picked up.

This has happened three times in the last month - Our USPS carrier annex serves a fairly small area, but there are at least 100 carrier vehicles in the fenced-in parking lot, so one would think they have enough carriers to service their routes even if two or three of them call in sick.

Grrrrr...USPS.  This is the third time in the last four weeks you've made me get an extra football from my rapidly dwindling stash so that I don't get online and Yelp you as you've never been Yelped before.  Woe unto you if you don't replenish my supply before this happens again!

Hm.  I've always wanted to "Woe unto you" someone, I feel a bit better for having done so.  Or maybe the football just made a touchdown.  Either way, I feel better.
Everyone should say: Woe unto you, at some point in their life. Seriously. Its a cool expression.
It truly is...But the opportunity to use it in a conversation never has presented itself to me.  But threatening USPS with it, even when I know they'll never know I've done so, is surprisingly therapeutic!
