Hi Charon…..I was unable to enjoy the blue moon as much as I would have liked but , did some. I hope you got to see it.Â
How is your partner doing? Sorry I most likely have overlooked the latest report but wanted to express a thought to you anyway.
So now for my post that nothing to do with the above…………..

i was so close to going to look at it. but i was bone weary. i shall be alive to see it in three years. heck, yeah.
ok, the partner has surgery tomorrow. a piece of colon will be removed. they will bypass the colon with a temp bag. until he heals.
and, i am learning soon how to drive my car around. its been rather dead for a few years. and sterilizing the home to care for him. the partner and not the car, btw.
i just happen to be a caregiver. when needed. oh, will he be so difficult. he is a man very used to his own ways.
but, on my watch, he has to do this right.
thank u for asking.
i take my valium at night and two benadryl. when in dire straits, i take an anti seizure pill: phenobarbital.
hours before i hope to sleep. then i have an ensure. pray. then listen to Investigation discovery in background till i fall asleep. (if u r not used to autopsies and criminal cases i would not suggest ID as ur station of choice.)
maybe music? gentle quiet? or u can listen online to running brooks. white noise.
i just wont ever take a sleeping pill. i must be able to be awake upon a dime, should i hear a noise outside, or when i caregive for someone.
may u have a wonderful sleep tonight. with sweet dreams. and, may u awaken refreshed without pain or anxiety.
well, it was the insomnia prayer. (sometimes there is reason to my madness, as it were.) i felt led to share my routine.
Charon, Here's a blue moon schedule.......in 2018 there will be two....and only 3 months apart......so you can make up for missing this years

Maybe your partner will learn to "surrender" his independence....just for awhile. Â Allowing you to help him.
thank u popster. i shall watch it then.
we shall see what happens. he seems to think he will be perfectly fine when he returns.
However, my sister went through this.
I shall be watching today. on and off. but, i got some heavy duty work to do.
have glorious days all.
Best vibes sent to you Charon for being able to complete the work ahead of you.
It is always so hard taking care of a loved one. Being a caregiver…I hope for you that the strength is there.

A random thought.

No truer words ever written!
VENT OF DAY: omg. i just struggled with a bottle of excedrin, my medicine of choice, for like twenty minutes.
the picture seems to show one pushes down and the top should easily turn to open.
they lied.
i was using the switchblade to break the cap. i am so not good with knives. my fingerprints will attest to that.
but, in cleaning i found two axes from the fireplace last winter. i was coming close to pulling the shining on that bottle of excedrin. Here's charon, excedrin, let me in.
one never really knows what arthritis will mean until one has some form of it.
and, this is one reason i think we all should have little robot children to read the fine print for us. to open childproof bottles. to serve us our gatorade.
i won't go down by a bottle of excedrin by golly. victory is mine!! muahhhh.
OMG, Charon.......that's one funny post.......I had a similar battle with a lotion dispenser......I was thinking of using a hack saw.....I hate packages that are stronger than me

Â
Your not alone in this battle with packagingLOL

ha! its not just me. hacksaw? hmmm. i know he has a chain saw in the other house he uses to work on cars.
but, the truth is, i am scared of chainsaws. (my son and i played a video game. zombies ate my neighbors. i got scared of the chainsaws. he handled them. whereas he got scared of the giant baby. so, i handled him.)
u know u read the bottle. u try to open it as it says. why do they do this to us?
good idea, popster. maybe next time i go for a hacksaw. i don't take to defeat kindly.
u also, i see.
