Here's my quote of the day
"there are 2 great day's in a person's life the day that we are born and the day that we discover why. "

Rant alert!! Today the SO took a vehicle to a sort of sketchy place to get a tire replaced. The place was so janky they didn't have the tools to remove the lug nut so SO gave them his tool to use. They ruined the lug nut so he came home & worked on it all afternoon trying to drill it out. Evidently he wasn't successful because when I went out to see what he was doing he scowled at me and said his afternoon sucked. I brought him some cold water & offered to take the vehicle to a nearby repair shop (what else could I do??). He growled at me. Later he came in, snarled at me and went to the bedroom (it was like 7pm). I thought he was going to nap so made dinner and after he'd been in there over an hour I went and asked if he wanted dinner. He grunted no.
We've been married a long time (more than 20 years) so I know what tomorrow brings. I have to get up extra early this week (I work full time, he doesn't), I'll get up early to start work and he'll get up later and start bitching that he didn't have any dinner.
So even though I have nothing to do with his troubles and made him a dinner he didn't eat, I am going to get bitched out first thing in the morning. Well actually not first thing since I will be up first for work while he sleeps as late as he wants. But when he wakes up he'll be a jerky bitch so I have to deal with that BS, regular household crap and extra work junk. BLECH!
Shoot,I guess I was the cloud instead of the rainbow this time. (See my post above)
Thanks Audrey. I ignored him for a while and then asked why he seemed to be mad at me. He acknowledged it wasn't me he was mad at but the situation. He left and if he comes back hostile I will continue to ignore him.
Have a great day!
Charon - I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the way that jerk treated you. There is no excuse for that kind of crap. I hope you have a good day & aren't bothered by the troll.

reilli,
Sounds like you handled the situation wisely and with some success.
By him acknowledging it isn't you, perhaps he will realize and learn better ways to handle these situations.
Life is a learning process.
Well Done.

Thank you Dancing Wolf.
He came back in a much better frame of mind. So glad I didn't fly off the handle but remained calm.

Reilli.........Now from a man's point of view......
Your guy needs a reality check, an attitude of gratitude, and a grip on his misplaced anger.......he will probably only hear this from another male.
thank u reilli. I am fine. Normally i get berated in PMs and emails. I hate he made it public. But, i just won't sink to an angry poster's level because of my inability to write perfectly.
i am glad u worked it out so well. Men seem to handle things so differently. We women talk. Then we make up our minds. But, i see that many a man will act all grumpy and of course we feel it is directed at us. But, after waiting a bit, I do inquire if I can help him with anything. And, it is usually he is upset with someone in this world. Not at me.
You are too sweet a person to cause anyone to become angry with you.
God bless you for being the full time worker. And, for being so sweet and loving. He is a very blessed man to have you.
